Henry C. "Hank" Williams, Jr. of Cuba, Missouri was born to the union of Henry C. and Ida B. (Moore) Williams, Sr. on February 1, 1927 in St. Louis, Missouri and left from this life on Sunday, August 31, 2014 at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 87. Hank was united in marriage to Shirley M. Albert on December 29, 1951 in University City, Missouri and to this union three children were born Sharon, Thomas and Lawrence. Hank retired as the Vice-President of Miracle Plumbing Supply Company in St. Louis after many years of dedicated service. He served his country honorably in U.S. Navy Reserves. He was a parishioner of Holy Cross Catholic Church, a member of Knights of Columbus, Indian Hills Men's Club and the Cuba Lions Club - Past President and Melvin Jones Fellow. In his spare time he enjoyed going to auctions, collecting baseball cards, 8 track and cassette tapes, fishing and golfing. On Dec. 31, 1999 at the Cuba Lakes Golf Course, Hank scored a hole in one. Hank is preceded in death by his parents and one sister Norma Anderson. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his wife Shirley M. Williams of Cuba, Missouri; three children Sharon Knoppe of St. Peters, Missouri, Thomas and wife Karen Williams of St. Louis, Missouri, Lawrence and wife Patti Williams of Maryland Heights, Missouri; six grandchildren Ashley and husband Matt Caldwell, Jessica, Sam, Sarah, Ben and Zach Williams; four great-grandchildren Slena, Donnie, Liliana and Jacob; two sister-in-laws Mary Sparks of South Lake, Texas, Joan Slade of Davisville, Missouri; one brother-in-law Bob Albert of St. Peters, Missouri; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 5, 2014 5-8 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2014, 10:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Father Rich Boever and Father James Finder as the concelebrants. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Honored to be serving as pallbearers Jack, Bill and Steve Anderson, Matt Caldwell, Sam and Ben Williams. If desired, memorials would be appreciated to the American Cancer Society. The Mizell Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Williams family.
