Harry Eugene Trask

April 2, 1920 — May 27, 2008

Harry Eugene Trask formerly of Cuba, Missouri was born Friday, April 2, 1920 at Sullivan, Missouri to the union of Joseph and Nellie May (nee; Helms) Trask and left from this life on Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at Conroe, Texas at the age of 88 years 1 month and 25 days. Harry proudly served in the United States Navy during WWII. Harry entered the service in September of 1941 and served on the USS O'Brien and the USS Barton. Harry left the service in December of 1946. Harry was united in marriage to Mary Lou Moss on September 3, 1948 at St. Louis, Missouri and to this union four children were born; Mark, Jim, Fonda and Shauna. Harry retired in the early 1980's as a meat cutter for Kroger's in St. Louis, Missouri after 20 plus years of dedicated service. Harry always enjoyed being outside. He would work in his garden (growing beautiful vegetables), go for long walks and whistle along the way. He enjoyed singing and dancing in his younger day but what mattered most to him was spending time with his family and friends. Harry was a loving son, husband, father, father in law, grandpa, great grandpa, brother, brother in law, uncle, great uncle, cousin and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Harry is preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Nellie May Trask and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to celebrate a life lived is his loving wife of nearly 50 years Mary Lou Trask of Conroe Texas, two sons Mark and wife Doris Trask of Springfield, Missouri and Jim Trask of Meteetse, Wyoming, two daughters Fonda and husband John Phillips and Shauna and husband Neil Jacobs all of Conroe, Texas, two brothers Robert Trask of Wentzville, Missouri and Albert and wife Elsie Trask of Litchfield, Illinois, two sisters Audrey Hubbard of St. Louis, Missouri and Doris and husband Harry Lott of Michigan, eleven grandchildren, twenty four great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and other relatives and friends. Graveside service 1 PM Tuesday, June 3rd at Cave Springs Cemetery, Spring Bluff, Missouri, with full military honors. The Britton Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Trask family.
