Harmon W. Wright of Fenton, Missouri, formerly of Cuba and Leasburg, was born February 7, 1927 at Dukedom, Tennessee to the union of Norman W. and Latty (Nee: Ross) Wright and left from this life on Sunday, April 17, 2016 at Cori Manor in Fenton, Missouri at the age of 89 years. Harmon proudly served in the United States Navy during WW II and the Korean War Conflict. Norman retired in 1992 after many years as a meat cutter. He worked in packing houses at St. Louis, Tennessee and Kentucky. Harmon was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Cuba for many years. Harmon enjoyed fishing, bowling and his passion was shooting pool. Harmon always watched the St. Louis Cardinals baseball on TV and always enjoyed the Cardinals versus the Cubs games. Harmon was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, step-father, step grandfather, step great-grandfather, uncle, great uncle, brother-in-law and friend of many. Harmon is preceded in death by his parents Harmon and Latty Wright, one son Harmon "Michael" Wright, step son John Kimmel, six siblings and other family and friends. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his loving wife Helen (Nee: Newman) of Pacific formerly of Cuba, four step children James and wife Patti Kimmel of Pacific, David and wife Rhonda Kimmel of Pacific, Debbie and husband Clayton Stephan of Swiss, Missouri and Diane and husband Michael Martin of Lakeland, Florida, brother-in-law Edgar Graddy of Fayetteville, Arkansas, sister-in-law Ilene Dixon of Big Cabin, Oklahoma, eleven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. A memorial visitation will be held Monday, April 25, 2016 from 12:00 Noon till 2:00 PM at the Mizell Funeral Home, 904 W Washington Street, Cuba. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, April 25, 2016 at the Mizell Funeral Home, 904 W Washington Street, Cuba, with Pastor Pat Gruber officiating. Special recorded music will be "The Old Rugged Cross", "In the Garden" and "One Day at a Time". In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Cuba in Harmon's memory.
