Hallie Eva Vance of Cuba was born on Tuesday, October 31, 1922 at Steelville, Missouri to the union of James Albert and Bertha May (nee: Ray) Pinson and left from this life on Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at Rolla, Missouri at the age of 87 years 4 months and 23 days. Hallie was united in marriage to Perry Vance in March of 1945 at Steelville, Missouri and to this union six children were born Roger, Tom, Jack, Mary, Sandra and Rhonda. Hallie and Perry moved to Cuba in 1961 and soon after she joined the First Baptist Church of Cuba. She enjoyed reading, making braided rugs, bird watching and collecting Angels. What she enjoyed most was spending time with her family and friends. Hallie was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister-in-law, aunt, great aunt, cousin and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Hallie is preceded in death by her parents James and Bertha Pinson, husband Perry Vance, son Jack Vance, three brothers Grant, Frank and Jewell Pinson, two sisters Oma Lee Vance and Opal Nelson, two son-in-laws Jim Cassidy and Chuck Cavin, two sister-in-laws Betsey and Eileen Pinson and two brother-in-laws Ray Vance and Robert Nelson and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy is her loving children Roger Vance of Texas, Tom Vance of Texas, Mary and husband Harry Carroll, Sandra Cassidy and Rhonda Vance all of Cuba, sister Eula Pinson of Bourbon, twelve grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 25th from 12 noon till 2 pm at the Britton Funeral Home of Cuba. Funeral service will be held at 2 pm Thursday, March 25th at the Britton Funeral Home of Cuba with Pastor Mike Potter officiating. Special music will be 郢邀邜When I Get to Where I郢邀邙m Going郢邀邝, 郢邀邜In the Garden郢邀邝 and 郢邀邜I郢邀邙ll Fly Away郢邀邝. Interment will follow at the Kinder Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri. The Britton Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Vance family.
