Greg Galen Meyer

Greg Galen Meyer of Bourbon, Missouri was born on December 6, 1963. He left this life suddenly on Sunday, September 24, 2023, at Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan at the age of 59.

Greg was united in marriage to Mark Torrez on July 10, 2015, in Bourbon, Missouri.

Greg graduated from Triopia High School “Class of 1982”. He worked in the hospitality industry for the last twenty years at Comfort Inn in Sullivan, Missouri. He enjoyed a Peanut M&M's, a Tall Boy after work, and marathon watching the Golden Girls.

Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his husband Mark Torrez of Bourbon, MO; one daughter Lindy Marie (Dustin) Blanton, one grandson Jakub Ware all of Cherryville, MO; best friend/brother Keith Melton of Bourbon, MO; parents Wilbur Lee and Peggy Meyer of Beardstown, IL; two sisters Melanie (Ted) Quinn and Valerie (Eric) Andrew all of Beardstown, IL; two brothers Eric (Jennifer) Meyer of Beardstown, IL, Curtis (ZsuZsi) Meyer of Peoria, IL; nieces, nephews and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, from 4-7 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, 7:00 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home with Rev. Wendy Coplin, officiating.

In keeping with his wishes, Greg will be cremated following the funeral service.
