Gladys Irene Koenig

Gladys Irene Koenig of Cuba, Missouri formerly of Chicago, Illinois was born October 3, 1929 in Chicago, Illinois to the union of Henry Erl and Mildred Erl (nee: Zemla) and left from this life on Thursday, March 29, 2007 in Rolla, Missouri at the age of 77 years, 5 months and 26 days. Gladys was united in marriage to Raymond Koenig and to this union four daughters were born Sandra, Catherine, Mary and Carol. Gladys retired from Bradford Exchange in Niles, Illinois as a Packer. She enjoyed reading, word puzzles, latch hook and most of all she enjoyed the times she spent with her family. Gladys is preceded in death by her parents Henry Erl and Mildred Erl (nee: Zemla), her husband Raymond Koenig. Those who left to cherish her memory and celebrate her life are her four daughters Sandra and husband Huey Burkes of Chicago, Illinois, Catherine Koenig of Decatur, Illinois, Mary Koenig of Cuba, Missouri and Carol Koenig of Maywood, Illinois; one brother Donald Erl; twelve grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. As per her wishes cremation rites were accorded. The Brittton Funeral Home of Cuba, Missouri is honored to be serving the Koenig family.
