Gerald J. "Jerry" Roth, Jr., of St. Louis, Missouri, was born on Sunday, January 8, 1967 in St. Louis, Missouri, to the union of Gerald J. and Rebecca J. (Rider) Roth, Sr., and he left from this life on Friday, July 7, 2017, surrounded by family, at St. Louis University Hospital at the age of 50 years. Jerry graduated from Oakville High School in 1985 and he then earned his A.A.S. degree from St. Louis Community College Funeral Service Education Program in 1992. Prior to going to mortuary school, during mortuary school, while serving his apprenticeship, and for a few years after, Jerry worked for Hoffmeister Mortuaries of St. Louis. Jerry later became a self-employed truck driver and he traveled back and forth across the country for millions of miles over the years. He enjoyed getting to watch many sunrises and sunsets in nearly every state of the union. During life, he treasured being Uncle Jerry to his amazing nephews and nieces. He would spend hours and hours reading. He enjoyed collecting guns, going to shooting sports events, driving his Mustang and spending time with his family and friends. Jerry is preceded in death by his grandparents Herman and Virginia Roth, Charles and Oneida Rider; one aunt Diane Faubel; his beloved dog Morticia. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his loving parents Gerald J. "Jerry" and Rebecca J. "Beckie" Roth, Sr. of Pacific, Missouri; one sister Jacquie and husband Jeff Klocke of St. Louis, Missouri; nephews and nieces A.J., Zack, Catherine, Sarah and Emma Klocke, Tyler Coslow all of St. Louis, Missouri; aunts and uncles Annette Fank of Leland, North Carolina, David and Bonnie Rider of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Danny and Betty Roth of Washington, Illinois; cousins and many friends. Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2017 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church 5000 Kerth Rd. @ Butler Hill Rd. St. Louis, Missouri 63128. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2017 11:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church with Keith Mohl, PMA, officiating. Private family Inurnment will be held later at Oakwood Cemetery, Metamora, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 or Holy Trinity Lutheran Church 5000 Kerth Rd. St. Louis, MO 63128.
