Gail L. Hitchcock of Cuba, Missouri was born Friday, October 30, 1936 at Denver, Colorado to the union of Jack Cummings and Willa Goodwin and left from this life on Saturday, October 14, 2006 at Cuba, Missouri at the age of 69 years 11 months and 15 days. Gail was united in marriage to Thomas J. Hitchcock on July 25, 1954 at San Diego, California and to this union two sons were born, Jay and Jerry. Gail was a member of Bible Baptist Church for many years. She was a Fantastic cook, specializing in Chinese food, she had a love for horses, country music, playing her bass guitar, but her #1 priority was her family. Gail was a loving daughter, wife, mother, mother in law, grandmother, sister in law, aunt and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Gail is preceded in death by her parents Jack and Willa Cummings and many other relatives and friends. Those who survive to mourn her passing is her loving husband Thomas J. Hitchcock of Cuba, Missouri, two sons; Jay and wife Cindy Hitchcock of Columbia, Missouri and Jerry and wife Debbie Hitchcock of Cuba, Missouri, four grandsons; T.J., Eric, Kaleb and Warren Hitchcock, four granddaughters; Christina, Jessie and Sandra Hitchcock and fiance' Buddy Adams and Angie and husband Benjamin Ranson and other relatives and friends. Visitation Monday, October 16th from 5 to 8 PM at Britton Funeral Home, Cuba, Missouri. Funeral service 11 AM Tuesday, October 17th at Bible Baptist Church (401 Maiden Lane, Cuba, Missouri) with Pastor Jack Shepherd officiating. Interment Meramec Hills Cemetery. Britton Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to serve the Hitchcock family.
