Frederick C. Palmer, Sr.

Frederick C. Palmer Sr. of Cuba, Missouri was born Friday, August 1, 1924 at Cuba, Missouri to the union of Orlando and Rachael Palmer and left from this life on Monday, December 21, 2009 at Cuba, Missouri at the age of 85 years 4 months and 20 days. Fred was united in marriage to Elmira A. Irvin on May 15, 1945 and to this union five children were born; Marvin, Fred, Robert, Ronald and Beverly. Elmira passed away in 1985. Fred was united in marriage to Kathleen 郢邀邜Kay郢邀邝 Roberts and they have spent many happy years together. Fred retired in 1986 as a welder from Steel Weld Company in St. Clair, Missouri after many years of dedicated service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, writing his own songs and poems, working in his garden and working. He was a longtime member of the Delhi Baptist Church of Cuba and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Fred was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, great uncle, cousin, brother-in-law and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Fred is preceded in death by his parents Orlando and Rachael Palmer, first wife Elmira Palmer, brothers, sisters and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy is his wife Kay Palmer of Cuba, five children Marvin and wife Barbara Palmer of Jacksonville, Florida, Fred and wife Linda Palmer, Jr. of Leasburg, Robert 郢邀邜Bob郢邀邝 Palmer of Springfield, Missouri, Ronald and wife Betty Palmer of Cuba and Beverly Dixon of the state of Ohio, eleven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, one brother Glen Palmer, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Monday, December 28, 2009 from 11 AM till 1 PM at the Britton Funeral Home of Cuba. Funeral service will be held at 1 PM Monday, December 28, 2009 with Pastor Doug Windle officiating. Special music will be 郢邀邜Amazing Grace郢邀邝, 郢邀邜How Great Thou Art郢邀邝 and 郢邀邜In the Garden郢邀邝. Interment will follow at the Meramec Hills Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri. The Britton Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Palmer family.
