Frank H. Pasternacki

Frank H. Pasternacki of Steelville, Missouri was born October 27, 1938 in Illinois and left from this life on January 30, 2015 at Columbia, Missouri at the age of 76 years. Frank proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He retired in 2000 from the Steel Workers Union of Illinois. He was united in marriage to Vivian "Ilene" Vance and after retirement they moved to Steelville to enjoy the outdoors and the fresh air. Frank enjoyed fishing, banana splits and music from the 50's, 60's and jazz. He was an avid watcher of the "Young and the Restless", if he missed it at 4:00 PM he could watch it at 6:00 or 11:30 PM. He never missed watching a St. Louis Cardinals Baseball game. Frank loved animals especially dogs. What Frank loved most in life was spending time with his family and friends. Frank was a loving son, brother, husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, great uncle, cousin and friend. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. Frank is preceded in death by his parents, sibling, wife Ilene Pasternacki, daughter Terry Lynn Hassler, brother-in-law Ray Vance and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy is his loving children Shirley Brooks and partner Diane of Roscoe, Illinois, Pat and husband Jim Gilley of Dallas, Texas and Randy Ransom of Steelville, fifteen grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Joyce Vance of Free Port, Illinois, special friends Judy and Ed Behr, Donna and Tom Lott and Jim and Laura Davis and a host of other relatives and friends. In keeping with Frank's wishes he was cremated and a "Celebration of Life Service" will be held later this year. The Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving Frank's family.
