Frank Cason

Shelby Franklin "Frank" Cason of Cuba, Missouri was born December 27, 1944 at Independence, Missouri to the union of Ted Sr. and Ruth Harrison Cason and left from this life surrounded by family of Monday, September 21, 2015 at his home in Cuba at the age of 70 years. Frank was united in marriage to Bonnie Chandler of January 26, 1963 at Brother Echols home in Cuba, Missouri and to this union two children were born; Rhonda and Frankie. Frank started is career working for Hutcheson Ford, and then he owned and operated Cason Auto Sales in Cuba for a while. After years in the car sales business Frank went to work for St. James Salvage selling auto parts and he worked there for fifteen years. Frank worked the last few years of his working career at Miller Salvage. In his younger years he enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, horseback riding and breaking horses. As a teenager Frank had a 57 Convertible Chevy and many years he would buy and trade old cars. He attended many car shows to see how beautiful the old cars were today. After retiring, Frank could be found at Voss Truck Port at 5:00 in the morning have coffee with the group. He spent hour's wood working, cutting grass and watching western movies. The most important thing is Frank's life was his family and enjoyed every moment that they all got to spend together. Frank was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, nephew, uncle, cousin, son-in-law, brother-in-law, father-in-law and friend of many. He will be forever missed by all who knew and loved him. Frank is preceded in death by his father Ted Cason, Sr., mother Ruth Cothern, step father Dean Cothern, brother James Harrison, father-in-law and mother-in-law Thurman and Oneda Chandler and other family and friends. Those who are left to treasure Frank's memory and to continue his legacy is his loving wife of nearly fifty three years Bonnie Cason of the home, one daughter Rhonda Cason of Cuba, one son Frankie and wife Misty Cason of Cuba, four grandchildren Kyle and wife Crystal Windle of Caledonia, Missouri, Cody Cason of Cuba, Brittany and husband Bryan Williams of Rolla and Blake Cason and Lindsey of Cuba, four perfect great grandchildren Klayton, Chloe, Camden and Ty, one brother Ted and wife Ursula Cason of Warsaw, Missouri, one aunt Edna Cason of Cuba, three brothers-in-law Jim and wife Cathy Chandler of Cuba, Bob and wife Betty Chandler of the Lake of the Ozarks and Dennis Chandler of Cuba, one sister-in-law Wanda and husband Geno Casarroto of Cuba, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 23, 2015 from 5:00 till 8:00 PM at the Mizell Funeral Home, 904 W Washington Street, Cuba, Missouri with a 7:00 PM Masonic Service by the Cuba Masonic Lodge. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, September 24, 2015 at the Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba with Pastor Larry Buettner officiating. Special music will be "Go Rest High on that Mountain", "When I Get Where I'm Going" and "Wind Beneath My Wings". Honored to serve as pall bearers will be Kyle Windle, Cody Cason, Blake Cason, Bryan Williams, Mike Chandler, Rob Chandler and JJ Chandler. Interment and prayers will follow at the Kinder Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the BJC Hospice or the American Cancer Society in Frank's memory. The Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Cason family.
