Frances Patricia 'Pat' Schumer

Frances Patricia "Pat" Schumer of Cuba, Missouri was born to the union of James E. and Lorraine (Galvin) Taylor on November 7, 1934 in St. Louis, Missouri. She left from this life on Friday, February 9, 2018 at Phelps County Regional Medical Center in Rolla, Missouri at the age of 83 years. Pat was a homemaker most of her life, she loved taking care of her home and spoiling her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, playing her organ, playing games on her iPad and facetiming with her grandchildren. Pat is preceded in death by her parents James E. and Lorraine (Galvin) Taylor; husband Charles A. Schumer; one sister Lorraine "Petty" Elchinger; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Elbert, Cletus and Leroy Schumer, Rosalia Renaud, Loretta Finn and Dorothy Farishon. Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her eight children Edward and wife Joyce Schumer of Lexington, Illinois, Karen and husband John Brooks of Chesterfield, Missouri, John and wife Susan Schumer of Shrewsbury, Missouri, Laura and husband Dan Furrer of Oakville, Missouri, Diane and husband Rick Shreves of O'Fallon, Missouri, Renee and husband Mike Floyd of Eureka, Missouri, Marc and wife Jill Schumer of Kansas City, Missouri, Kurt and wife Nicole Schumer of St. Louis, Missouri; one sister-in-law Lucille Sego of Washington, Missouri; thirty-three grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces great-great-nephews and many friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church 415 W. School St. Cuba, Missouri. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 1:00 p.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Rev. Richard Boever as the celebrant. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri. The Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Schumer family.
