Floyd J. Williams of Cuba, Missouri was born to the union of Ernest E. and Ruth P. (Enloe) Williams on Thursday, August 30, 1928 in Jakes Prairie, Missouri and left from this life on Monday, February 10, 2014 at Cuba Manor at the age of 85. Floyd was united in marriage to Ruby Dickens on September 16, 1950 in St. Louis, Missouri and to this union two children were born Lisa and Lloyd. Floyd retired after 35 years of dedicated service to Echo Supply Company and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cuba and the Cuba Memorial Post #522 A.L. In his spare time he enjoyed being a carpenter, fishing, gardening, traveling and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Floyd is preceded in death by his parents; sisters-in-law Grace Williams, Sharon Dickens and Shirley Dickens; brothers-in-law Charles Spurgeon, Cecil Brown, and Edwin Kitchen, Carl Dickens; one niece Tammy Dickens. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his wife of 63 years Ruby Williams of Cuba, Missouri; one daughter Lisa and husband Don Isbell of Cuba, Missouri; one son Lloyd and wife Coby Williams of Barnhart, Missouri; one brother Ernest Junior Williams of Meadview City, Arizona; one sister Grace Spurgeon of Bland, Missouri; seven grandchildren Kelsey, Jeremy (Christina), Jason (Caitlin), Colin and Corey Williams, Ben (Rita) Lee, Jacob Isbell; five great-grandchildren Dylan and Blake Lee, Zachery, Brianna and Sophie Williams; four sisters-in-law Ruth Dickens, Lucille and husband Gary Campbell, Helen Brown and Mabel Kitchen all of Cuba, Missouri; three brothers-in-law Paul and wife Geraldine Dickens, James Dickens, Leon and wife Donna Dickens all of Cuba, Missouri; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 5-8 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Cuba 606 West Myrtle St. Cuba, Missouri. Interment with full military honors will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri. The Mizell funeral Home is honored to be serving the Williams family.
