Flay H. Dean, Jr. of Cuba, Missouri was born April 22, 1960 at St. Louis, Missouri. He left from this life on Friday, January 4, 2019 at his home in Cuba at the age of 58 years. Flay proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He had been a truck driver for several years, before his health began to decline. He was very talented at building hot rods and going to the races. He spent hours playing computer games, enjoyed radio-controlled cars, computers and fishing. What he truly enjoyed most was spending time with family and friends. He was a loving son, brother, father, father-in-law, grandpa, uncle, great uncle, cousin and friend. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. Flay is preceded in death by his father Flay H. Dean, Sr. mother Alberta Ray, step-father Lee Ray and other family and friends. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his children Dustin and wife Krystal Dean of St. John, Missouri, Taylor Johnstone and Justin Harrison of Overland and Autumn Woodard of Bridgeton, Missouri, five grandchildren; Kalen Dean, Brayden Dean, Samantha Johnston, Jasper Harrison and Charlotte Harrison, seven siblings; Amile Lee Holmes, Doyle "Jim" Holmes, Linda Telly, Danny Ray, Curtis Ray, Pat Ray and Valeria Geisler, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends. As per his wishes, he will be cremated and no services will be held at this time. The Mizell Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Dean family.
