Everett E. Briggs, III of Rolla, Missouri was born on Tuesday, August 23, 1955, in Verdon, France to the union of Everett E. and Myra A. (Grob) Briggs, II. He left from this life suddenly on Saturday, February 11, 2023, at his mother’s home in Cuba, Missouri at the age of 67.

 

Everett graduated from Cuba High School “Class of 1973” and graduated from Linn Tech “Class of 1975”. He retired from the City of Rolla Public Works Dept., after 47 years of dedicated service as the Senior Project Coordinator. He oversaw numerous projects around Rolla that he was very proud of seeing the finished project and how it helped the city and residents.

 

Everett’s passion was bowling. He bowled in regional tournaments all over Missouri and cashed in several. Everett was a Lane Representative for Scenic Rivers Association for many years. He was also a USBC bowling member, since 1975, when he started bowling in Cuba. Everett was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2005. He bowled numerous 300 games and 700 series.

 

Everett owned Ev’s Pro Shop inside Coachlite Lanes in Rolla for approximately 8 years. He loved his pro shop, it made him so happy and proud to help bowlers find the right ball for themselves, fit it for them and drill it. He always sponsored youth and adult sponsored teams

 

Everett is preceded in death by his father Everett E. Briggs, II; brother-in-law Dennis Klaeger; nephew JR Kitchen.

 

Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his loving mother Myra A. (Grob) Briggs of Cuba; two sisters Kathleen (Nick) Ginos of Lake of Ozarks and Renee Klaeger of Union; niece Nicole (Tim) Hebert of Union; nephew Chad Klaeger (Rachel McCain) of Rolla; niece-in-law Hannah Kitchen of Springfield; great-nephews Cadence Kitchen, Braden, Bryson and Bennett Klaeger; best friend Peggy Wilson and her sons Cody and David Wilson of Rolla; aunts, uncles, cousins, bowling buddies, coworkers and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023, 1:00 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home with Pastor Todd Holman, officiating.

Interment will follow at Meramec Hills Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri.

If desired, memorials would be appreciated to The Everett Briggs Memorial and Scholarship Fund.
