Eugene Edward 'Gene' Grueber

Eugene Edward "Gene" Grueber of Bourbon formerly of Arnold, Missouri was born on September 25, 1923 in Maplewood, Missouri to the union of William and Bessie (Bynum) Grueber and left from this life on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at Cuba Manor at the age of 92. Gene was united in marriage to Eula Geraldine "Gerri" Coffman on July 31, 1976 in St. Louis, Missouri. Gene retired as a Machinist for Chapman Electric Company in St. Louis, Missouri after many years of dedicated service. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Bourbon and a former member of the First Baptist Church of Arnold. He enjoyed traveling and the St. Louis Cardinals. Gene is preceded in death by his parents William and Bessie (Bynum) Grueber; one step-son Buddy Ennis; two sisters Hazel Moise and Esther Himmelmann. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his loving wife Eula Geraldine "Gerri" Grueber of Bourbon, Missouri; two step-children Nancy and husband Kirk Belmar of Steelville, Missouri, Irene and husband Lenny Lawson of High Ridge, Missouri; one sister Leona Hawkins and one brother Ralph Grueber; five sisters-in-law and four brothers-in-law Margaret Risenhoover of Rogers, Arkansas, Catherine Wagner of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Donna and husband Gene Wissmann of Union, Missouri, Wanda and husband Ron Starbeck of Bourbon, Missouri, Louise Heck of California, Marvin and wife Bobbie Coffman of St. James, Missouri, Don and wife Charlene Coffman of Casper, Wyoming, Willard and wife Neomi Coffman of Rolla, Missouri, Charlie and wife Rosemary Coffman of Owensville, Missouri; eighteen step-grandchildren, twenty-five step-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 30, 2015 5-8 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2015 11:00 a.m. at Mizell Funeral Home with Pastor Ed Carter, officiating. Interment will follow at Bourbon Cemetery in Bourbon, Missouri. If desired, memorials would be appreciated to Calvary Baptist Church 622 Old Hwy. 66, Bourbon, Missouri 65441. The Mizell Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of Gene Grueber.
