Eleanore Jean Thorson

Eleanore Jean Thorson of Cuba, Missouri was born to the union of Martin and Lelia (Wells) Worlie on November 14, 1927 in Little Falls, Minnesota and left from this life on Thursday, January 12, 2012 at her home at the age of 84. Eleanore was a homemaker and enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading, watching TV, gardening, crocheting and spending time with family and friends. Eleanore is preceded in death by her parents Martin and Lelia (Wells) Worlie; husband Adolph Stewart "Stew" Thorson; son James Thorson; sister Ella Mae Domshot; brothers Don, Duane, Lyle and Ken Worlie; granddaughter Heather Thorson. Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her two daughters Cathy and husband Dennis Hattersley of Cuba, Missouri, Cindy and husband Jim Hopkins of Boise, Idaho; five grandchildren Jason, Travis and Alicia Nefzger, Dennis and Michael Hattersley; three great-grandchildren Ella and Gavin Nefzger and Chelsea Hopkins; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2012 11:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service 1:00 p.m. at the Halvorson-Johnson Funeral Home 703 Oak St., Brainerd, Minnesota. Interment will follow at Valle Cemetery, Brainerd, Minnesota. Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba is in charge of local arrangements.
