Elda M. Geisler

Elda M. Geisler of Cuba was born to the union of Otto and Adelia (Ruether) Emke on January 26, 1918 in Dutzow, Missouri and left from this life on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at her home at the age of 96. Elda was a homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her family, home, garden and sewing. She was a parishioner of Holy Cross Catholic Church. Elda is preceded in death by her parents; husband Erwin Geisler; four sons Phillip, Gary, Dennis and Thomas Geisler; two grandsons Sean and Phillip Geisler; four brothers Raymond, Ewald, Alvin and Norman Geisler; three sisters Eleanora "Tootsie" Ellenbeck, Tommie Overmark and Alfreida Hoffmeister. Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her eight children David and wife Willene Geisler of Cuba, Missouri, Stanley and wife Judy Geisler of Defiance, Missouri, Kevin Geisler of Cuba, Missouri, Michael and wife Cindy Geisler of Overland, Missouri, Robert and wife Mary Geisler of Defiance, Missouri, Raymond and wife Valerie Geisler of Cuba, Missouri, Joann and husband Sam Price of Camdenton, Missouri, Donald Geisler of Overland, Missouri; daughter-in-law Carol Geisler of St. Louis, Missouri; twenty-four grandchildren, forty-five great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2014 from 5-8 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 27, 2014 11:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Rev. Rich Boever as the celebrant. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. If desired, memorials would be appreciated to Holy Cross Catholic Church. The Mizell Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Geisler family.
