Edward Lee Meiser of Bland, Missouri was born to the union of Robert Henry and Anna Laura (Rives) Meiser on November 27, 1939 in Crocker, Missouri and left from this life on Sunday, November 21, 2010 in Chesterfield, Missouri at the age of 70. Ed was united in marriage to Fern A. West on August 9, 1958 in Dixon, Missouri and to this union two daughters were born Randa and Jennifer. Ed started working for Brown Shoe Company as a Machine Operator in 1957 and rose to the office of Senior Vice President and retired in 1994 after 37 years of service. He served on the Board of Directors for Gasconade Manor in Owensville, Missouri. He was a member of the Cuba Lions Club and Arlington Masonic Lodge in Dixon, Missouri. He was known as a conversationalist and in his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time on his farm. Ed is preceded in death by his parents Robert Henry and Anna Laura (Rives) Meiser; two brothers Robert and Donald Meiser; one sister Regent Edgar. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his wife Fern A. Meiser of the home; two daughters Randa and husband Tom LaVelle of Florissant, Missouri and Jennifer Meiser of St. Louis, Missouri; one brother Thomas Gary and wife Judy Meiser of Wentzville, Missouri; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends. Private family services will be held. In lieu of flowers memorials would be appreciated to the American Diabetes Association. The Britton Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Meiser family.
