Edward H. Schumacher, Jr. of Bourbon, Missouri was born on Saturday, December 2, 1944 in St. Louis, Missouri to the union of Edward H. and Margaret F. (Pearly) Schumacher, Sr. He left from this life on Sunday, November 15, 2020 at his home at the age of 75 years.
Edward retired as a pipefitter from Rock Hill Mechanical, after 30 plus years of dedicated service. He was a member of Pipefitters Local #562 and Knights of Columbus Council No. 8920. He honorably served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, barbequing, traveling and tinkering with things.
Edward is preceded in death by his parents Edward H. and Margaret F. (Pearly) Schumacher, Sr. one son Clyde "Rowdy" Campbell.
Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his loving wife Carol (Callahan) Schumacher of the home; four children Don and wife Brenda Campbell of O'Fallon, Missouri, Kevin and wife Amy Campbell of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Linda Brindza of Springfield, Missouri, Jeremy and wife Ashley Schumacher of Cuba, Missouri; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 19, 2020 from 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. at Holy Martyrs of Japan Catholic Church 8244 State Hwy. AE Sullivan, Missouri.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, November 19, 2020 11:30 a.m. at Holy Martyrs of Japan Catholic Church with Rev. Tim Henderson as the celebrant.
Interment with full military honors will be private and held on Friday, November 20, 2020 at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri.
