Edward B. Johnson of St. Louis formerly of Cuba, Missouri was born to the union of Edmon L. and Cornelia (Coshow) Saunier on August 22, 1923 in Linn, Missouri and left from this life on Sunday, April 3, 2011 at St. Anthony's Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 87. Ed was united in marriage to Virginia R. DeVine on March 11, 1943 in Clayton, Missouri and to this union four children were born Dale, Sandy, Brian and Craig. Ed was employed many years as an Electrical Engineer. After his retirement he and Virginia moved to Indian Hills Lake in Cuba, where they enjoyed spending their retirement years together. Ed honorably served his Country in the U.S. Army. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, listening to opera music and taking care of his faithful companion Shotzie. Ed was preceded in death by his parents Edmon L. and Cornelia (Coshow) Saunier; grandmother Katherine Johnson; one son Dale Johnson. Those who are left to cherish his memory and to continue his legacy are his children Sandy and husband Rick Servatius of Longview, Texas, Brian Johnson of St. Louis, Missouri, Craig and wife Patricia Johnson of Glendale, Missouri; daughter-in-law Barb Johnson of Naperville, Illinois; eight grandchildren Jeffrey Johnson of New York, New York, Jaime Johnson and husband Harold Attuquayefio of Naperville, Illinois, Christina and husband Bryan Siebenmorgan of Eureka, Missouri, Bradley Johnson of St. Louis, Missouri, Ashley and Samantha Johnson of Glendale, Missouri, Carla and Kevin Servatius of Longview, Texas; two great-grandchildren Audrey and Olivia Siebenmorgan. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 8, 2011 11:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service 1:00 p.m. at John L. Ziegenhein & Sons South County Chapel 4830 Lemay Ferry Rd. St. Louis, Missouri with Pastor Robert Hagel, officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow at St. Trinity Cemetery, Lemay, Missouri. Don & Lesa Mizell of the Mizell Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Johnson family.
