Douglas Michael Ferris of Cuba, Missouri was born to the union of Marshall D. and Viola (Reed) Ferris on April 11, 1942 in Cuba, Missouri and left from this life on Wednesday, July 16, 2008 in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 66 years 3 months and 5 days. Mike was united in marriage to Linda Mae Callahan on April 10, 2008 in Steelville, Missouri. Mike was a retired Truck Driver. He enjoyed a good cup of coffee, fishing, camping, antique cars and traveling. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He is preceded in death by his parents Marshall D. and Viola (Reed) Ferris; two brothers Howard Ferris, Paul Eugene Ferris and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to cherish his memory and to continue his legacy are his wife Linda Mae (Callahan) Ferris of Cuba, Missouri; two sons Barry and Michael Ferris of Wisconsin; one daughter Alean and husband Tom Hartzell of Wisconsin; three brothers Leroy Ferris of Mellen, Wisconsin, Robert Ferris of Chicago, Illinois and Phil and wife Brenda Ferris of Kentucky; five sisters Sylvia and husband Raymond Draudt of Springfield, Missouri, Melba Coleman of St. Louis, Missouri, Bonnie and husband Paul Swingly of Selma, Indiana, Martha Aytes of Fletcher, NC, Glenda Halbert of Cuba, Missouri; one grandchild, brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation: Friday, July 18, 2008 3-8 p.m. at Britton Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri. Funeral: Saturday, July 19, 2008 1:00 p.m. at Britton Funeral Home with Pastor Harrison Brown, officiating. Interment: Martin Cemetery, Cherryville, Missouri with full military honors.
