Dorothy Marie Wilson Brown

Dorothy Marie Wilson Brown of Cuba, Missouri was born to the union of Issac B. and Mary L. (Dinning) Anderson on December 22, 1925 in Green Forest, Arkansas and left from this life on Saturday, October 01, 2011 at Phelps County Regional Medical Center in Rolla, Missouri at the age of 85. Dorothy was a homemaker and a member of Covenant Praise Church of God. She enjoyed sewing, canning, cooking, gardening, playing aggravation, card games and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents Issac Brockett and Mary Lenora (Dinning) Anderson; husband Harold Wilson; seven brothers Norman, John, Alfred, Owen, Uther, Buther and Arthur; three sisters Novella Vanwinkle, Virgie McElfresh Licklider and Vonnie Horttor; two sons Jim and Ron Wilson; five grandchildren Robert Lee Brown, Dale and Thomas Wilson, Joshua Callahan and Linda Pyatt; three great-grandsons Michael Cantrell and Anthony Walsh, Jr. and Randy Martin. Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her children Emilie and husband Wayne Joyce of Canada, Loretta Fern and husband Kenneth Callahan of Cuba, Missouri, Frieda and husband Sonny Pyatt of Farmington, Missouri, Garland Wilson of Holt Summit, Missouri, June and husband Jerry Lankford of Hobart, Oklahoma, Norma and husband Bob Maddux of Union, Missouri, Richard Wilson of St. Louis, Missouri, Carol and husband Ron Backues of Holt Summit, Missouri. Grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 3, 2011 from 5-8 p.m. at the Mizell Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 11:00 a.m. at the Mizell Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Chilton and Pastor Harrison Brown, officiating. Special music "Amazing Grace" and "Just Wait Till You See My Brand New Home", "Just Wait Till You See My Brand New Home" and "Jesus Hold My Hand" provided by Bob and Carol Coleman and Bonnie Martin. Interment will follow at Martin-Trask Cemetery, Cherryville, Missouri If desired, memorials would be appreciated to Covenant Praise Church of God (Maintenance Fund) 309 N. Mapleshade Rd. Cuba, Missouri 65453. The Mizell Funeral Home is Honored to be serving the Wilson Brown family.
