Dorothy Marie Kimbrel

Dorothy Marie Kimbrel (nee: Fahr) of Cuba, Missouri was born to the union of Robert O. and Myrtle A. (Smith) Fahr on Saturday, April 26, 1930 in Creve Coeur, Missouri and left from this life on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at her home at the age of 85. Dorothy was a homemaker, a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and a former Lionette of the West Overland Lions Club. She enjoyed living at Indian Hills Lake, working on crafts, flower gardening, bird watching, bowling, cooking and baking. Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents Robert O. and Myrtle A. (Smith) Fahr; husband Kent C. Kimbrel; one son Randy Petty; one great-grandson Timothy Ray DuBoise; four sisters Myrtle Petty, Marcella Petty, Thelma Knoche and Ivon Grice. Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her daughter Pamela and husband Robert Larson of Cuba, Missouri; four step-children Richard and wife Karen Kimbrel of Affton, Missouri, Debra and husband Bill Harmon of Cuba, Missouri, Sharon and husband Reggie Gillespie of Randolph, Mississippi, Barbara and husband Darryle Hinch of DeSoto, Missouri; one brother Robert and wife Dianne Fahr of Warrenton, Missouri; one brother-in-law James Petty of Cuba, Missouri; thirteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, ten great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends. Visitation will be held on Monday, Jan. 11, 2016 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church 730 Fleenor Road, Cuba, Missouri. Funeral service will be held on Monday, Jan. 11, 2016 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Pastor Joe Ed Pederson, officiating. Interment will follow at Kinder Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri. If desired, memorials would be appreciated to St. Paul's Lutheran Church Building Fund. The Mizell Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Kimbrel family.
