Dorothy Marie Enloe of Cuba, Missouri was born on Wednesday, March 12, 1924 at Hinch, Missouri to the union of Lester A. and Dora E. (nee: Brand) Mitchell and left from this life on Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at Cuba, Missouri at the age of 84 years 11 months and 13 days. Dorothy was united in marriage to Richard W. Enloe on September 15, 1946 at Rolla, Missouri and to this union two sons were born Rick and Nathan. Dorothy was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cuba and the D.A.V.A. (Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary). Dorothy served as secretary of the Meramec Baptist Association and worked in the kitchen at church for many years. In her spare time she enjoyed reading, sewing, embroidery, and é¢ééAs The World Turnsé¢éé. But what was always most important to her was taking care of her husband Richard, their sons and spoiling her grandchildren. Dorothy was a loving daughter, sister, sister-in-law, wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, great aunt, cousin and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents Lester A. and Dora Mitchell, one brother Lester Mitchell, five sisters Ruby Mitchell, Mabel and husband Fred Gorman, Pearl and husband Frank Tucker, Rose and husband Clarence Stephens and Hazel and husband Jim Webster and other family and friends. Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy is her loving husband of 62 years Richard W. Enloe of Cuba, two sons Rick and wife Becky Enloe of Springfield, Missouri and Nathan and wife Theresa Enloe of Cuba, five granddaughters Dena and husband Bob Atchley of Springfield, Sara and husband Chris Summers of Cuba, Kellie and husband Justin Soles of Springfield, Natalee and husband Travis Watkins of Washington DC and Suzanne Enloe of Cuba, three great grandchildren Cheyenne Summers of Cuba, Kaitlynne Atchley of Springfield and Chase Summers of Cuba and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation Friday, February 27th from 4 till 8 PM at Britton Funeral Home of Cuba. Funeral service 11 AM Saturday, February 28th at Britton Funeral Home of Cuba with Pastor Bob Knight and Pastor Don Martin officiating. é¢ééIn The Gardené¢éé and é¢ééIé¢ééll Fly Awayé¢éé is the special music for the service. Interment to follow at Meramec Hills Cemetery, Cuba. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Cuba building fund or the Cuba Senior Center in Dorothyé¢éés memory.
