Dorothy Marie Counts

Dorothy Marie Counts of Cuba, Missouri was born Friday, January 1, 1926 at St. Louis, Missouri to the union of Theodore J. and Agnes R. (nee: Bushmann) Osborn and left from this life on Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 83 years 1 month and 10 days. Dorothy was united in marriage to William K. Counts on November 11, 1950 at Steelville, Missouri and to this union five children were born; Donna, Sharon, Janice, Kent and Tammy. Dorothy was an excellent Mom, homemaker and cook. She made pies, doughnuts and bread from scratch. She enjoyed quilting, crafts, sewing, needle point, cross stitch, canning and working word puzzles. But what she always enjoyed most was spending time with her family and friends. Dorothy was a loving daughter, sister, sister-in-law, wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, great aunt, cousin and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents Theodore and Agnes Osborn, husband William K. Counts, brother Donald Osborn, sister Anna Mae and husband James Wood and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy is her five children; Donna and husband Tom Conduitt of Cuba, Sharon and husband James Mosley of El Paso, Texas, Janice and husband Keith Howdeshell of Cuba, Kent and wife Helen Counts of Berryman and Tammy and husband Garry Lukefahr of St. James, nine grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, sister-in-law Pat Osborn of St. Louis, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation Sunday, February 15th from 1 till 3 PM at Britton Funeral Home of Cuba. Funeral service 3 PM Sunday, February 15th at Britton Funeral Home of Cuba with Father James Finder officiating. 郢邀邜Precious Memories郢邀邝 "On Eagles Wings" and "Peace In The Valley" is the special music for the service. Honored to be serving as pall bears are Christopher Lukefahr, Don Howdeshell, Matthew Howdeshell, Joshua Trautwein, Garry Lukefahr and Keith Howdeshell. Interment to follow at Delhi Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri. The Britton Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Counts family.
