Dorothy Mae Springer

Dorothy Mae Springer of Sullivan, MO was born to the union Kennard and Allie Maebell (Ludwig) Johnson on February 16, 1935 in Alicia, AR. She left from this life on Friday, March 8, 2019 at Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan, MO at the age of 84 years. Dorothy was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and listening to country music, George Jones and Conway Twitty were two of her favorites. She loved spending time and spoiling her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents Kennard and Allie Maebell (Ludwig) Johnson; husband Raymond N. Springer; infant son Robert Joseph Springer; one granddaughter Tonsie Springer; three brothers Kenneth "Pete", Eugene and Chester Johnson; one sister Pauline Whitlow; one daughter-in-law Diane Springer. Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her seven children Michael and wife Sandra Springer of Waterloo, IL, Dewayne Springer of Sullivan, MO, Roy Edward and wife Peggy Springer of Fenton, MO, Ronald Springer of Arnold, MO, Sharon and husband Jonathon Evanstad of Piedmont, MO, Robert and wife Jimene Springer of Columbia, IL, Donald and wife Nicole Springer of Stanton, MO; one sister Juanita Thornhill of Bourbon, MO; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great- nieces, great-nephews and many friends. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 10, 2019 from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, MO Funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 10, 2019 2:00 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home with Pastor Don Martin, officiating. Interment will follow at New Rock Cemetery, Bourbon, MO The Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Springer family.
