Donald R. "Woody" Woodson of Leasburg, Missouri was born to the union of Fred and Dorothy (Cizek) Woodson on December 19, 1926 in St. Louis, Missouri and left from this life on Wednesday Jan. 18, 2012 at Phelps County Regional Medical Center at the age of 85. Donald was a retiree of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and Honorably served his Country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Council #8920 and the Leasburg American Legion Post. In his spare time he enjoyed crossword puzzles and word search games. Donald is preceded in death by his parents Fred and Dorothy (Cizek) Woodson; first wife Bernadette Woodson; one sister Shirley and her husband Frank Boersig. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his wife Ruth Woodson of Leasburg, Missouri; one daughter Patricia and husband Scott Redman of St. Louis, Missouri; step-children Rockie Radcliff of Cuba, Missouri, Robert and wife Nancy Radcliff of St. Louis, Missouri, Betty and husband Ronnie Bourbon of Robertsville, Missouri and Robin Barklage of Sullivan, Missouri; eight grandchildren Molly, Karley, Matthew, Kasey, Clayton, Joseph and wife Judy, Tammy and husband Steve and Daniel; one brother of James and wife Marcella Woodson of Bulverde, Texas; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends. Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012 6:00 p.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church 415 W. School St. Cuba, MO with Father James Finder as the Celebrant. Donald gifted himself to St. Louis University School of Medicine. If desired memorials would be appreciated to Holy Cross School 405 W.
