Donald Eugene Cook known to many as é¢ééDonnie or Docé¢éé of Cuba was born to the union of Arthur P. and Thelma L. (Bailey) Cook on June 12, 1947 in Vichy, Missouri and left from this life on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 in Cuba, Missouri at the age of 62. Donnie worked for many years as a mechanic and a carpenter. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, wood working, his two dogs Turkey and Baby and spending time with family and friends. Donnie is preceded in death by his parents Arthur P. Cook and Thelma L. (Bailey) Terry; one brother Daniel Cook; two sisters Dorothy Cox and Teresa Happle; three grandchildren and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are one daughter Angie Holmes of Dover, Oklahoma; one son Jerry Gregory of Rolla, Missouri; two grandchildren Calley é¢ééPumkiné¢éé Pickle of Dover, Oklahoma and Dalton Gregory of Rolla, Missouri; two brothers Billy J. and wife Della Cook of Cuba, Missouri, Gary and wife Mary Jo Cook of Salem, Missouri; one sister Mary Snethern of West Plains, Missouri; one step-brother Mitchell Terry of Vienna, Missouri; step-father Lloyd Terry of Vienna, Missouri; two dogs Turkey and Baby; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and many friends. Private services were held. Memorials may be made to the family in care of Britton Funeral Home. The Britton Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Cook family.
