Dolores Jean Blunt of Cuba, Missouri was born to the union of the late Claude E. Shuey and Bernice Shuey (nee: Pearson) on June 3, 1929 in Joplin, Missouri and she left from this life on Saturday, January 13, 2007 in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 77 years, 7 months and 10 days. Dolores was united in marriage to the late James T. Blunt on June 16, 1950 in Cuba, Missouri. To this union three children were born Michael, James and Sheila. Dolores retired from the Missouri Department of Family Services as a Case Worker. She assisted with caring for the geriatric and handicapped families of Crawford County. Prior to working for the State she was in Real Estate Sales having worked for Bayless & Williams Realty office here in Cuba. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Cuba. She enjoyed spending time with her family, taking care of her home and having meals with The Lunch Bunch from the First Presbyterian Church. She is preceded in death by her parents Claude E. Shuey and Bernice Shuey (nee: Pearson), husband James T. Blunt. Those who remain to continue her legacy and memory are her two sons Michael E. (Gail) Blunt of Bourbon, Missouri and James R. (Bonnie) Blunt of Cuba, Missouri, daughter Sheila J. (Michael) Marx of Alpha, Minnesota; Two brothers Rev. William (Gloria) Shuey of Georgia and Kenneth (Bernice) Shuey of Ohio; Ten grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and host of other relatives and friends. Visitation: Monday, January 15, 2007 5-8 p.m. at Britton Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri. Funeral: Tuesday, January 16, 2007 10:00 a.m. at Britton Funeral Home with Rev. William Shuey, officiating. Interment: Kinder Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri
