Dennis Wayne Lee

Dennis Wayne Lee of Wentzville, Missouri was born June 25, 1944 at Berryman, Missouri to the union of Walter and Laura (Nee: Stahl) Lee and left from this life on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 68 years 3 months and 29 days. Dennis worked as a truck driver for the Teamsters Local #600 in St. Louis for 40+ years before retiring in 2003. Dennis enjoyed auto racing, fishing, St. Louis Cardinal Baseball, traveling, collecting antiques, was a true history buff and was always trying to help others. What he enjoyed most, was spending time with family and friends. Dennis was a loving son, brother, brother-in-law, father, father-in-law, grandfather, "favorite" uncle, great uncle, cousin and friend. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. Dennis is preceded in death by his parents Walter and Laura Lee, one sister June and husband Melvin Garrison, brother-in-law Don Yoakum and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his children Chad Johnson of Port Saint Lucie, Florida, Amber Lee of O'Fallon, Missouri and Lori and husband Travis Hedrick of St. Charles, Missouri, special friend and former wife of 26 years Karen Lee of Port Saint Lucie, Florida, three grandchildren Dallas Johnson, Braeden Wellinghoff and Ayla Hedrick, two brothers Walter and wife Joyce Lee of Cuba and Jim and wife Joyce Lee of Cuba, three sisters Norma Yoakum of Villa Ridge, Missouri, Betty and husband Lindell Staples of Cuba and Marian and husband Allan Bruton of Tulsa, Oklahoma, like a brother John "JD" and wife Arlene Barnes of Farmington, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Thursday, October 25, 2012 from 5:00 till 8:00 PM at the Mizell Funeral Home, 904 W Washington, Cuba, Missouri. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Friday, October 26, 2012 at the Mizell Funeral Home with David "Sonny" Bates officiating. Special music will be "Go Rest High on that Mountain", "People Are Crazy", "Family Traditions" and "Always on My Mind". Interment and prayers will follow at the Bourbon Cemetery, Bourbon, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in Dennis memory. The Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Lee family.
