Dennis D.j. Shrout

Dennis “D.J.” Shrout of Richland and formerly of Cuba, Missouri was born on Saturday, August 9, 1969 in St. Louis, Missouri to the union of Dennis E. and Gretchen (McNulty) Shrout. He left from this life suddenly on Thursday, March 31, 2022 at Mercy Hospital in Lebanon, Missouri at the age of 52 years.

D.J. graduated from Cuba High School “Class of 1989”. He owned and operated D.J.’s Small Engine Repair in Cuba for several years, before becoming disabled. He loved to be outdoors and enjoyed fishing and hunting. During his quite time indoors, he enjoyed putting together model cars.

D.J. is preceded in death by his grandparents Lester E. and Georgia (Callahan) Shrout, James and Jessie (Nash) McNaulty; great-grandparents Floyd and Rosie (Bryant) Callahan, Max and Gretchen Britton.

Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his parents Dennis E. and Gretchen (McNulty) Shrout of Cuba; one sister Sonya Sue and husband Richard McNail, Jr. of Cuba; one niece Taylor McNail of Cuba; aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 4, 2022 from 5-7 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri.

Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 4, 2022 7:00 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home with Bro. Carl Callahan, officiating.

D.J. will be cremated following the visitation and funeral service.
