Denise D. Bess of Cuba, Missouri was born on Sunday, December 8, 1957 in St. Louis, Missouri. She left from this life on Sunday, September 15, 2019 at her home at the age of 61 years.
Denise was as a hairstylist/barber for many years and she exceled in her profession. Her last salon was at the Mid-West Petroleum Truck Stop. She also had worked in the cafeteria at the school and all the kids knew her as the "Lunch Lady". She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church for the last several years.
She enjoyed many trips to the beach and floating the river every chance she got. She truly was known as the Sun Goddess and her beautiful tan lasted all year long. She enjoyed watching football and going to the Cuba High School football games. What she always loved most in life was spending time with her family and friends.
She was a loving daughter, sister wife, mother, grandma, aunt, great aunt, cousin, sister-in-law and friend to many. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Denise is preceded in death by her parents William Edward and Gloria Ann (Giancola) Lowery; one sister Carol Bartlett.
Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her loving husband Randall "Randy" Bess of the home; two sons, Nicholas Daniel Ryan of Sullivan, Missouri, Benjamin Gary Farris of Cuba, Missouri; six grandchildren Mahala, Garrett, Jordan, Haley, Emmi and on the way Benjamin Gary Farris, Jr; three sisters Gloria Bedrosian of St. Louis, Missouri, Donna and husband Richard Blankenship of Bourbon, Missouri, Debbie and husband Tony Sabatino of Bourbon, Missouri; three brothers-in-law Dennis and wife Cheryl Bess of St. Peters, Missouri, Kerry and wife Connie Bess of St. Louis, Missouri, Brian "Butch" and wife Chris Bess of Cuba, Missouri; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 19, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. till 1:00 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home, 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri.
Funeral service will be Thursday, September 19, 2019 1:00 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Ed Pederson, officiating.
In keeping with her wishes, Denise will be cremated following the visitation and funeral service.
If desired, memorials would be appreciated to the American Lung Association in Denise's memory.
