Delmon Bryan Moreland

Delmon Bryan Moreland of Cuba, Missouri was born to the union of Herman L. and Dorothy M. (Martin) Moreland on Sunday, March 29, 1959 in Cuba, Missouri. He left from this life, suddenly on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 58 years. Delmon was a jack of all trades, he worked in construction, installed flooring and could fix just about anything. He loved being grandpa and taking the grandkids on tractor rides, riding his Harley, fishing, hunting and was always the "rock" of the family. Delmon is preceded in death by his parents Herman L. and Dorothy M. (Martin) Moreland; two children Matthew and Katrisha Moreland; two brothers-in-law Al Hufendick and Danny Kisslinger. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his loving fiancé Patricia Headrick of Cuba, Missouri; three step-children Crystal Headrick of Cuba, Missouri, David Headrick of St. Charles, Missouri, Dustin Headrick of Cuba, Missouri; two grandchildren McKenzee and Aiden Headrick; one brother and four sisters Don and wife Bonnie Moreland of St. James, Missouri, Janet Jones of Bloomington, Illinois, Lynn Hufendick of Union, Missouri, Pam Kisslinger of St. James, Missouri and Tammy Moreland of Union, Missouri; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, great-great-nephews, and friend of many. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 27, 2017 from 5-8 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri. Funeral service will be held on Monday, August 28, 2017 2:00 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home with Pastor Christopher Dew, officiating. Interment will follow at Meramec Hills Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to the family in care of Mizell Funeral Home. The Mizell Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Moreland family.
