Della Ann (Bridgeman) Reeves, 89, of Cuba, passed away, Saturday, January 25, 2025, Cuba Manor.
On April 28, 1935, Della was born to the union of Jesse Albert Bridgeman and Mary Etta (Gensler) in Bourbon, Missouri.
Della was united in marriage on March 7, 1953, to the late James Reeves.
She worked at Paramount Cap Factory in Bourbon for nearly 10 years before retiring.
Della was talented with her hands, having mastered the ability to crochet and making quilts. She loved her lord and savior Jesus Christ, and she looked forward to leading the songs of worship at the Lighthouse Pentecostal Worship Center where her beloved late son, Rev. Gary Reeves was the pastor. Della always made sure to send birthday cards to her siblings, so they knew she loved them on their special day. She occasionally would play the piano as well. Della loved the comfort of her home and the close circle of her family and friends. When she wasn’t attending church, crocheting, quilting or finding solace in her bible, Della enjoyed watching NASCAR. Most of all Della loved her family and she will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Della was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse Albert & Mary Etta Bridgeman; one sister, Etta Mae (Rev. Herman) Rogers: her husband, JAmes Reeves; her son, Rev. Gary Reeves; Parents-In-Law, Raney & Everett Reeves and Eva Helen (Anderson) Reeves; brother-in-law, Jesse Gann; her favorite uncle, Rev. Joe Gensler; nephews, Herman William Rogers Jr., Tony Bridgeman, Keith Lee Bridgeman and a great-nephew, Jesse Rogers.
She is survived by her brothers, Jesse Albert Bridgeman Jr. and wife Dora of Cuba, Harold Lee Bridgeman of Cuba and Joe Ray Bridgeman and wife Dorothy of Cuba; three sisters, Mary Louise Smith and husband Claude of Cuba, Gladene Ware of Cuba and Gerladine Lortz and husband Tom of Cuba; daughter-in-law, Loraine Reeves of Cuba; two grandchildren, Matthew Reeves and wife Payton of Cuba and Andrew Reeves of Cuba; one great-grandchild on the way, Ophelia Rue Reeves; many other relatives and friends.
