Debra Jean 'Debbie' Middleton

Debra Jean "Debbie" Middleton of Cuba was born Wednesday, July 2, 1969 at St. Louis, Missouri to the union of Kenneth and Rosemary (Nee: Wells) Collins and left from this life, surrounded by family, on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at her home in Cuba at the age of 48 years. Debbie spent her life taking care of her family and home. She loved to spoil her two grandchildren and her fur baby Trip Middleton. For a couple of years, Debbie worked at Cuba Manor in the kitchen. She truly loved the residents. Debbie would drink coffee every day and watch scary movies and shows on TV. For entertainment she would watch Jerry Springer. She always enjoyed trips to the thrift store and Lottery scratcher tickets. What Debbie loved most in life was her family and spending time with them. On April 7, 2014 Debbie started her battle with cancer. She took hundreds of rounds of chemo and radiation. She never stopped wanting to live and fought with every ounce of courage that she had. Debbie was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, sister-in-law, aunt, great aunt, cousin and friend of many. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. Debbie is preceded in death by her father Kenneth Collins and other family and friends. Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her loving children; Amber Middleton and friend Jeff of Cuba, Raymond Middleton and friend Ashley of Cuba, Mason Middleton of Cuba and Lexi Middleton of Cuba, two amazing grandchildren Raymond Middleton and Alexander Middleton both of Cuba, her mother Rosemary Collins of St. Louis, seven brothers and sisters; Lloyd Stricklin of St. Louis, Kim and husband Mike Johnson of St. Louis, Ricky Collins of St. Louis, Kenneth Collins of St. Louis, Lacy Collins of St. Louis, Lena Collins of St. Louis and Tonia Collins of St. Louis, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Saturday, December 2, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. till 2:00 p.m. at the Mizell Funeral Home, 904 W Washington Street, Cuba. Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 2, 2017 at the Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba. Special recorded music will be "See You Again", "Arms of an Angel" and "Knocking on Heaven's Door". Interment and prayers will follow at Delhi Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri. Honored to serve as pall bearers are Josh Evans, Brian Gillespy, Jeffrey Buchka, Mason Middleton, Raymond Middleton and Dylan Wilson. In lieu of flowers donations maybe made to the Middleton family. Please NO flowers. The Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Middleton family.
