David Lee Conway

David Lee Conway of Springfield, Missouri was born to the union of Richard C. and Ella J. (Storz) Conway on April 1, 1956 in Chicago, Illinois, He left from this life on Monday, April 24, 2017 at Cox Medical Center-South, Springfield, Missouri at the age of 61 years. David was a longtime employee of Loren Cook Company in Springfield, a member of Steel Workers Local #15485 and he proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, bow hunting, listening to Elvis and going to the dirt track to watch Jesse Stovall race. David is preceded in death by his parents Richard C. and Ella J. (Storz) Conway; brother Richard G. Conway; father-in-law Benjamin Grubaugh. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his brother Mark and wife Karen Conway, Sr. of Cuba, Missouri; special friend Rae Jean Conway of Cuba, Missouri; mother-in-law Peggy Grubaugh of Cuba, Missouri; sisters-in-law Paula Conway of Festus, Missouri, Becky and husband Bobby Tate of Springfield, Missouri; brothers-in-law Dale and wife Dannette Grubaugh of Hollister, Missouri, Darryl and wife Joy Grubaugh of Cuba, Missouri; nephews Mark Conway, Jr. of Arnold, Missouri, Philip and wife Alisa Grubaugh of Paris, Missouri, Ethan Grubaugh of Hollister, Missouri; nieces Shera Conway of Dudley, Missouri, Capri Conway of Festus, Missouri, Erica Grubaugh of Kansas City, Missouri, Erin and husband Jacob Fox of Rapid City, South Dakota, Eylssa Grubaugh of Hollister, Missouri, Michelle Grubaugh of Springfield, Missouri; great-nieces Lea Conway, Lillie Fox, Harper Grubaugh; great-nephews Easton Grubaugh and Ben Fox; many friends and coworkers at Loren Cook Company. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2017 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2017 2:00 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home with Pastor Dale Grubaugh, officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow at Meramec Hills Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri. If desired, memorials would be appreciated to the American Diabetes Association or the National Kidney Foundation. The Mizell Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Conway family.
