David L. 'Dave' Secrest

David L. "Dave" Secrest of Leasburg, Missouri was born on October 26, 1950 in Denver, Colorado to the union of Robert M. and Virginia (Smith) Secrest. He left from this life on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at his home at the age of 68 years. Dave was a retired Finish Carpenter. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, barbequing, gardening and tinkering in the garage. Dave is preceded in death by his parents Robert M. and Virginia (Smith) Secrest. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his wife Marietta Secrest of the home; two children Cody and wife Codie Secrest of Columbia, Missouri and Deanna Hood of Duke, Missouri; four step-children Ed and wife Stacy Briggs of Arnold, Missouri, Greg and wife Tina Briggs of Cedar Hill, Missouri, Trisha and husband Kevin Maddox of Byrnes Mill, Missouri, Bob Briggs of High Ridge, Missouri; two grandchildren Josie Claire Secrest of Columbia, Missouri, Philip Kain Kovachik of Duke, Missouri; one sister Keren Wych of Chicago, Illinois; one sister-in-law Myra Modglin of Bourbon, Missouri; two brothers-in-law Bruce and wife Ronnie Crawford of Lonedell, Missouri, Brian and wife Linda Crawford of High Ridge, Missouri; five step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and friends. As per his wishes, Dave will be cremated. Private family services will be held. The Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Secrest family.
