David K. Blevins

David Kenneth Blevins of Cuba, Missouri was born on November 1, 1959 in Rolla, Missouri to the union of Dale and Carol (Lerbs) Blevins and left from this life on Monday, October 10, 2016 at Gibbs Care Center, Steelville, Missouri at the age of 56 years. David graduated from Cuba High School and moved to St. Louis. He worked as a bus boy for Teutenberg's Bakery & Cafeteria and later as a janitor for St. John's Lutheran Church in South St. Louis. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Cuba. He enjoyed watching tv and Seek-A-Word puzzles. David is preceded in death by his grandparents Russell Blevins, Minnie Blevins-Prince, Herman Lerbs and Elfreda Smith. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his parents Dale and Carol Blevins of Cuba, Missouri; one brother Paul and wife Brittni Blevins of Mansfield, Texas; three nephews Reese, Avery and Graham Blevins; uncles and aunts Larry and wife Tena Blevins of St. James, Missouri, June and husband Forrest Pierce of St. Louis, Missouri, Marie Fears of Thompson, Georgia; cousins and many friends. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church 730 Fleenor Rd. Cuba, Missouri. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Pastor Joe Ed Pederson, officiating. Interment will follow at Mounts Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to Mounts Cemetery Association. The Mizell Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Blevins family.
