David E. Eaton of Cuba, Missouri was born on Thursday, January 28, 1954, in Wesco, Missouri to the union of John E. and Erma (Happel) Eaton. He left from this life on Monday, April 25, 2022, at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia at the age of 68.
David was united in marriage to Angela Carmen on October 21, 2006.
David worked twenty years for Southwestern Bell Telephone as an underground equipment operator. He retired in 2017 from Crawford County Road District #2 as a heavy equipment operator after twenty-one years of dedicated service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, mushroom hunting, gardening, cutting wood, going to auctions and yard sales as he was always looking for a bargain.
David is preceded in death by his parents John E. Eaton, Erma (Happel) and husband Ken Thurmond; wife Angela “Angie” Eaton; one brother Johnny and wife Shirley Eaton; one sister Bertha Taber; four brothers-in-law Kenny Pyatt, Paul Myers, Joe Stubblefield and Claude Pyatt.
Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his seven brothers and sisters Helen Pyatt of Sullivan, Mary Pyatt of Cuba, Maxine Myers of Cuba, Gerald and wife Susie Eaton of Cuba, Lloyd and wife Carol Eaton of Cuba, Peg and husband Junior Callahan of Steelville, Glenda Stubblefield of Cuba; one brother-in-law Dean Taber of St. James; aunts and uncles Ruth Sellers of Steelville, Louis and Mary Happel of Cuba, Ken and Frances Happel of St. James, Norma Lee Russau of Carthage; cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2022, 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2022, 1:00 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Mace, officiating.
Interment will follow at New Home Cemetery, Steelville, Missouri.
