Darleen Nelda Saunders

Darleen Nelda Saunders of Leasburg, Missouri was born January 1, 1926 to the union of Albert Bruning and Geneva L. Lamkin at Rosemont, Illinois and left from this life on Saturday, August 5, 2006 at Sullivan, Missouri at the age of 80 years 7 months and 4 days. Darleen was a graduate of Collinsville, Illinois High School. Darleen had been a resident of Crawford County for many years. She was a charter member of the Leasburg Historical Society, member of the Leasburg A.T.A.C. and the First Baptist Church of Leasburg. Darleen was an avid gambler and enjoyed painting, crocheting and fishing. Darleen was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, sister in law, aunt, great aunt, cousin and friend to many. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Darleen is preceded in death by her parents Albert and Geneva, one sister Clela McGuire and a host of other relatives and friends. Those who are left to mourn her passing is her loving children; Jerry and wife Mary Ann Saunders of Dixon, Missouri and Terry and husband Richard Muir of Bourbon, Missouri, three grandchildren, three great grandchildren, one brother Larry and wife Mary Jane Bruning of Leasburg, many nieces and nephews and friends. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at the Change of Heart Church of Cuba Thursday August 10th at 7:00 PM with Terry Mahurin an Matt Schaefer officiating. The family is being served by Britton Funeral Home, Cuba, Missouri.
