Daniel Amos Sellers of Cuba, Missouri was born Friday, December 9, 1988 at Vienna, Virginia to the union of Ralph B. and Sabra (nee: Seneff) Sellers and went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 10, 2008 at Heartland Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph, Missouri at the age of 19 years 5 months and 1 day. Daniel was a freshman at Columbia College, Rolla, Missouri were he was taking Criminal Justice classes. Daniel attended Cuba and Union High Schools, graduating in May 2007 from Union High School. During the past three years Daniel worked as a cook for Missouri Hick Barbeque. Daniel was a Cub Scout, Boy Scout and received his Eagle Scout in 2007. During High School Daniel sang in choir and was part of the theatrical class. In his spare time he enjoyed reading, playing computer games, playing his guitar and cooking. He enjoyed camping with his family and the scouts in Colorado, Wyoming, Birds Nest, Springfield and Yellow Stone National Park. He spent two years being a scout camp counselor at Camp Lewallen, Silva, Missouri. Daniel would run from Eagle Wood Park to Cuba on occasions, swam a mile to receive his Eagle Scout, and he loved Irish music and having a great time with family and friends. Dan had a great sense of humor and always had a laugh on his lips and a smile in his heart. Daniel gave the greatest gift of all to many people he had never met, he was an organ donor. Daniel was a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, great nephew, cousin and friend of many. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Daniel is preceded in death by his grandfather Gary Seneff, great grandparents and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to celebrate a life lived is his loving parents Ralph B. and Sabra Sellers of Cuba, one brother Alex Sellers of Cuba, three sisters; Sabra Ellen Sellers of Springfield, Missouri, Sylvia and Grace Sellers of Cuba, beloved girlfriend Tabitha Axtel, grandparents; Ralph S. and Martha Sellers of Cuba and Anita and Al Dalton of Leesburg, Virginia, two uncles Bill Sellers of Louisville, Kentucky and Steven and wife Kathy Seneff of Herndon, Virginia, three aunts; Martha Ellen Sellers of Cuba, Tamra and husband Joey Varda of Leesburg, Virginia and Tonya and husband Sonny Burke of Leesburg, Virginia, great aunts, great uncles, cousins and a host of friends. Visitation will be held Friday, May 16th from 4 till 8 PM at Britton Funeral Home, Cuba. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Saturday, May 17th at Holy Cross Catholic Church of Cuba with Father James Finder as celebrant. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Cuba. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sellers Family in care of Britton Funeral Home. The Britton Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Sellers family.
