Dale E. Wild, Sr.

Dale Edwin Wild, Sr. of Leasburg, Missouri was born on Tuesday, June 15, 1937, in Belleville, Illinois to the union of Irwin Walter and Sabra (Beeson) Wild. He left from this life on Sunday, January 8, 2023, at his home at the age of 85.

Dale was united in marriage to Audrey J. Nahlik on August 22, 1964, in Imperial, Missouri. To this union seven children were born Dale Jr., Anne, David, Michelle, Patrick, Kathleen and Timothy.

Dale honorably served and retired from the United States Army as a Staff Sgt. He didn’t stay idle long and went to work for General Material in Fenton and retired after 20 years of dedicated service. He was crafty and enjoyed building models and tinkering with things, he was quite the storyteller and shared many Army stories through the years. He loved sports and could be found cheering on his children and grandchildren, during their sporting events.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents Irwin Walter and Sabra (Beeson) Wild; son-in-law Chris Sharp; granddaughter Rebecca Jane Wild; sisters Pearl Rehg, Janet Borger and Marcia Martin; brother Herschel Wild.

Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his loving wife of fifty-eight years Audrey J. (Nahlik) Wild of Leasburg; seven children Dale E. Wild, Jr. of Leasburg, Anne Sharp of Leasburg, David (Tina) Wild of Cuba, Michelle (Glen) Roussin of Jefferson City, Patrick (Kimberly) Wild of Leasburg, Kathleen (Rick) McKnight of Leasburg, Timothy (Leslie) Wild of Sullivan; sixteen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2023, from 5-8 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri and will continue Friday, January 13, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis Catholic Church 1050 N. Old Hwy. 66, Bourbon, Missouri 65441

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, January 13, 2023, 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis Catholic Church with Father Dan Lueckenotte as the celebrant.

Honored to be serving as pallbearers are Brendan Wild, Andrew Roussin, John Sharp, Daniel Roussin, Joey Wild, Lane Wild and Tristan McKnight.

Interment with full military will follow at Ft. Leonard Wood State Veterans Cemetery, Waynesville, Missouri.
