Cowan David 'Cd' King

Cowan "CD" King of Paragould, Arkansas formerly of Cuba, Missouri was born to the union of Orville and Reval (Dilks) King on June 5, 1933 in Shirley, Missouri and left from this life on Sunday, February 22, 2015 at his home at the age of 81. Cowan worked for many years at PACO Manufacturing Company in Sullivan, later he became a Custom Farmer for area farmers. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Cowan is preceded in death by his parents; one sister Loretta Corbin; one brother Ramsey King. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his wife Melba Carlene (Wyatt) King of Paragould, Arkansas; four children David King of Cuba, Missouri, Daniel and wife Lisa King of Leasburg, Missouri, Phyllis "Lynn" and husband Bill Fitzgerald of Stanton, Missouri, Bryan King of Cuba, Missouri; two step-children Carla and husband Tony Parchutie of St. Peters, Missouri and Matt Bard of Florissant, Missouri; seven brothers and sisters Bernice Cox of Alton, Illinois, Geraldine Cavanaugh of Cuba, Missouri, Ronald King of Wood River, Illinois, Ruby Adams of Sarasota, Florida, Carol Young of Cottage Hills, Illinois, Mary Scott of Bethalto, Illinois, Dale King of Cottage Hills, Illinois; twelve grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri. Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 27, 2015 11:00 a.m. at Mizell Funeral Home. Interment with full military honors will follow at Crossroads Cemetery, Leasburg, Missouri. If desired, memorials may be made to the family or the American Cancer Society. The Mizell Funeral Home is honored to be serving the King family.
