Clyde E. Johnson

Clyde E. Johnson of Leasburg, Missouri was born to the union of Adam and Dollie (Alexander) Johnson on July 8, 1926 in Portageville, Missouri and left from this life on Monday, February 1, 2010 in Leasburg, Missouri at the age of 83. Clyde was a retired Truck Driver for Bemac Transport Company. He was a long time member of the First Southern Baptist Church of Leasburg. In his spare time he enjoyed gardening, playing cards and baking. Clyde is preceded in death by his parents Adam and Dollie Johnson; wife Mary Ann Johnson (nee: Cartwright); one son Johnnie Johnson; four brothers James, Loren, Sybil and Claude Johnson; one sister Irene Stanley and other relatives and friends. Survivors include his two sons Larry and wife Ann Johnson of Owensville, Missouri and John Johnson of Sullivan, Missouri; four daughters Diana and husband Bryant Armstrong of Warrensburg, Missouri, Ann and husband Jim Wenzel of Leasburg, Missouri, Sheila and husband Jerry Ostdiek Lakewood, Colorado, Amber Johnson of Crown Point, Indiana; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 10:00 a.m. until time of service 11:30 a.m. at the First Southern Baptist Church of Leasburg with Pastor Terry King, officiating. Interment will follow at Lea Cemetery, Leasburg, Missouri. In lieu of flowers memorials would be appreciated to the First Southern Baptist Church (Parsonage Fund) 1861 Hwy. H, Leasburg, Missouri 65535. The Britton Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Johnson family.
