Clyde Bascom Mathis of Cuba, Missouri was born to the union of the late John C. and Winnefred (Jack) Mathis on July 15, 1915 in Ionia, Michigan and left from this life on Wednesday, December 13, 2006 at the age of 91 years, 4 months and 29 days. Clyde was united in marriage to Irene Humski on January 9, 1937 and together they shared 69 years of marriage. Clyde retired form Meramec Mine Company as an electrician, was a parishioner at Holy Cross Catholic Church, he proudly served his country during World War II in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the American Legion Post. Clyde is preceded in death by his parents John C. and Winnefred (Jack) Mathis and one sister Shirley Lindberg. Those who are left to mourn his passing are his wife of 69 years Irene Mathis (nee: Humski)of Cuba, Missouri; niece Pat Palmer of Topeka, Kansas; neighbor and friends Joyce and Phinis Deardeuff; and a host of other relatives and friends.
