Chester Warren Ware

Chester Warren Ware of Cuba, Missouri was born to the union of Jacob and Minnie (West) Ware on Thursday, October 28, 1920 in Cuba, Missouri and left from this life on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at his home in Cuba, Missouri at the age of 90. Chester was united in marriage to Margaret L. Gandy on January 11, 1943 in Steelville, Missouri and to this union three children were born Chester L. "Butch", Shirley and Carolyn. Chester and Margaret enjoyed 68 years of marriage together. Chester was a farmer in Crawford County and served his Country Honorably in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a charter member of the Calvary Assembly of God Church and a member of the Cuba Memorial American Legion Post #522. Chester is preceded in death by his parents Jacob and Minnie (West) Ware; son Chester L. "Butch" Ware; three brothers Estel, Herman and George Ware; six sisters Martha Hopwood, Mable Williams, Catherine Ware, Lorene Ware, Viva Fann and Zula Micallef. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his loving wife of 68 years Margaret L. Ware of Cuba, Missouri; two daughters Shirley and husband Kermit Pennock of Eldon, Missouri, Carolyn and husband Gene Trinkler of Lenexa, Kansas; two sisters Maxine Branson of Park Hills, Missouri and Bonnie Ware of Cuba, Missouri; ten grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 20, 2011 5-8 p.m. at the Mizell Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 11:00 a.m. at the Mizell Funeral Home with Pastor Allen Teal, officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Delhi Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri. If desired, memorials would be appreciated to the American Cancer Society or Phelps Regional Hospice. The Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba is Honored to be serving the Ware family.
