Chester L. "Sonny" Osborne, Jr. of Leasburg, Missouri was born to the union of Chester L. Osborne, Sr. and Margaret Alberta (Suntken) Osborne on August 22, 1943 in Fairbury, Illinois and left from this life on Sunday, October 28, 2007 in his home at the age of 64 years 2 months and 6 days. Sonny was united in marriage to Mary Aberer on April 21, 1979 in Cuba, Missouri. Sonny was a Craftsman by trade and was a man of many talents. He enjoyed wood working and crafted ceremonial pipes and cedar boxes. His other talents included making saddles and working as a machinist. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, motorcycles, trucks and most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandkids. Sonny served his Country honorably in the U.S. Navy. He was a Man of God and was a Native American in Christian Faith. Sonny is preceded in death by his parents Chester L. Osborne, Sr. and Margaret Alberta (Suntken) Osborne, two daughters Dawn Marie and Margaret Rose Osborne. Those who are left to cherish his memory and to continue his legacy are his wife Mary (Aberer) Osborne of Leasburg, Missouri; three sons James Michael Tutt and friend Christine of Lancaster, California, Jeffery Duane and wife Crystal Norris of Cuba, Missouri and Steven and wife Cristal Osborne of Cuba, Missouri; two daughters Ame Osborne of Pennsylvania and Gale Elaine Osborne of Leasburg, Missouri; step-mother Arden Osborne of Strawn, Illinois; nine grandchildren Timothy and Thomas Tutt, Vincent Parker, Dereck Norris, Caleb Osborne, Jonathon Wilkinson, Lyssa Norris, Makayla Osborne and Amanda Osborne-LaVetere; three step-brothers Danny Osborne of Denver, Colorado, Steve Osborne of Gibson City, Illinois, Tim and wife Sandy Osborne of Forrest, Illinois; mother-in-law Mary Katherine Aberer of Cuba, Missouri; brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews and many extended family and friends. Visitation: Wednesday, October 31, 2007 4-8 p.m. at Britton Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri. Funeral: Thursday, November 1, 2007 1:00 p.m. at Britton Funeral Home with Rev. James Delacourt and Spiritual Leader Oran McKinney, officiating. Interment: Lea Cemetery, Leasburg, Missouri with full military honors and bag piper Dan Jackson. The Britton Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Osborne family.
