Charles Leo Waidmann

Charles Leo "Charlie" Waidmann of Cuba was born to the union of George and Margaret (Bechter) Waidmann on October 4, 1923 in Bourbon, Missouri and left from this life on Monday, January 3, 2011 in Cuba, Missouri at the age of 87. Charlie was united in marriage to Patricia Bogue on November 29, 1952 in Bourbon, Missouri and to this union one son was born Randall. Charlie was co-owner of Gerald Lumber Company, Gerald, Missouri with his brother Herman and wife Edna Waidmann. He later he co-owned the Sears Catalog and General Store in Van Buren, Missouri with his sister Rosemary and husband Maurice Brown. He honorably served his Country in U.S. Navy during WW II. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, food, playing pinochle at the Cuba Senior Center, visiting the Gun Shop and spending time with Lawrence Bridgemann. Charlie is preceded in death by his parents George and Margaret (Bechter) Waidmann; wife Patricia (Bogue) Waidmann; sisters-in-law Mary Lou Menz and Mildred Bogue; brother-in-law John Menz and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his son Randy and wife Dawn Waidmann of Cuba, Missouri; two step-grandsons William Bloomner, Jr. and Jarred Bloomner of Sullivan, Missouri; one brother Herman and wife Edna Waidmann of Gerald, Missouri; one sister Rosemary and husband Maurice Brown of Van Buren, Missouri; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Richard Bogue of Cuba, Missouri, Jerry and wife Donna Bogue of St. John郢邀邙s, Indiana, Bill and wife Wanda Bogue, Sharon and husband John Casarotto and Shirley Click all of Cuba, Missouri; his dog Angel and grand pup Chopper; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends. Memorial Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 16, 2010 1:00 p.m. until time of Memorial Service 2:00 p.m. at Britton Funeral Home of Cuba with Pastor James Self, officiating. Full Military Honors will conclude the services. In lieu of flowers memorials would be appreciated to the Cuba Senior Center. The Britton Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Waidmann family.
