Charles Henry Kelley of Arnold, Missouri, formerly of Cuba, was born Sunday, March 13, 1932 at Paragould, Arkansas to the union of Lloyd and Viola (Nee: McCord) Kelley and left from this life, surrounded by family, on Monday, July 30, 2018, at his home in Arnold, at the age of 86 years. Charles proudly served in the United States Army from 13 May 1955 till 10 May 1957. After the service, Charles went to work for General Motors and he retired from there after many years of dedicated service. Charles enjoyed fishing, hunting and was an avid animal lover. He fed all the strays and his dogs became his four-legged children. Charles was raised Pentecostal and in his later years of life treasured his religion greatly. Charles was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, step father, step grandfather, brother, uncle, great uncle, father-in-law and friend of many. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is preceded in death by his parents Lloyd and Viola Kelly, one son; Johnny Kelley, one daughter; Debra Harris, three brothers; Albert Kelley, Donald Kelley and Larry Kelley, three sisters; Bernice Reeves, Pearley McClain and Joan George and other family and friends. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his children; Darrel and wife Martha Kelley of Imperial, Missouri, Steven and companion Pam Haule of Arnold and Sandra Kelley of Imperial, twelve grandchildren, many great grandchildren, four step children; Debbie and husband Sam Streckfuss of Imperial, Gayle Taylor of Ballwin, Pamela and husband Rick Sansaucie of Ballwin and Tony and wife Sherry Grana of Pevely, Missouri, seven step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, two brothers; Kenneth Kelley of Sullivan and Ronnie Kelley of Rosewood, Missouri, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. A memorial service, with full military honors, will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, 2900 Sheridan, St. Louis. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to your favorite charity in Charles memory. The Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Kelley family.
